The Liberty Fabric Scrunchie Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Fit

From the moment I started designing our Liberty Fabric Scrunchies, I knew I wanted to offer them in three different sizes — to suit different hair types and give you more styling options.

That’s why every single scrunchie in the collection comes in Skinny, Medium, and Large. Whether you’ve got fine hair or thick hair, whether you're going for a quick ponytail or a statement bun, there’s a size (and a print!) that’s just right for you.

Skinny Size Scrunchie

The Skinny scrunchie has a diameter of about 8 cm (3.15 inches), and the fabric width is approximately 2 cm (0.8 inches). Don’t be fooled by the name — this little one packs a lot of stretch! With extra gathers, it’s super elastic and works well for all hair types, from fine to thick.

It’s the most versatile size in our collection — perfect for ponytails, side braids, half-up styles, or even space buns. If you’re only getting one size, this might be your MVP.

Bonus: the skinny scrunchie is also great for kids! Match it with a medium-sized scrunchie for a sweet mom and daughter moment.

Medium Size Scrunchie

The Medium scrunchie has a diameter of about 14 cm (5.5 inches), with a fabric width of 5 cm (2 inches). It’s the perfect in-between — not too subtle, not too bold — and one of our most loved sizes.

The medium width gives enough room to really show off the beautiful Liberty fabric prints, while still feeling wearable for everyday. If you have medium to thick hair, this size is a great way to add both style and hold.

Use it for ponytails, sleek buns, or messy buns. It also looks super cute worn around the wrist as a little fabric bracelet.

If you have fine hair, you can still rock the medium size for buns, or try our favorite trick:
Start with a skinny scrunchie to secure your ponytail, then layer a medium scrunchie over it. It not only keeps everything in place, but also adds volume and makes the scrunchie pop even more — just like we show in our video!

Large Size Scrunchie

The Large scrunchie has a diameter of about 17 cm (6.7 inches) and a generous fabric width of 7 cm (2.75 inches). If you’re looking to show off the full beauty of Liberty fabric — this one’s your showstopper.

Because of its wider design, it naturally creates big, soft ruffles when tied in your hair, giving your style that effortlessly relaxed and chic vibe.

If you have medium to thick hair and want your scrunchie to really stand out, the Large size will be your new best friend. It adds a fun twist to ponytails, makes your bun look like a blooming flower, and yes — it also looks stunning just wrapped around your wrist as a statement accessory.
